Saturday

My roommate Jon and i decided to go and walk in the MS walk this morning in Salt Lake. i figured i would get out and do something active, even though it woke me up early on a Saturday morning. lucky for me there was plenty of free food along the way. my dad told me there wasn't going to be aid stations along the way but he was wrong. my dad is used to running 100 mile freak races where the next aid station is 20 miles away. after basking in the mass amounts of donuts, muffins, and granola bars i made my way to the finish line. i even got a medal so there you go dad... i finished, ate and got a medal.

in other great Saturday news, i was also fitted for a tux today. our ward is having some sort of a formal night i would clear of this kind of thing but i decided i might as well give it a shot. it was just my luck that they had a nice brown 1970's suit in the back that fit perfectly. (kind of... the first one was a little revealing and tight. i felt much like David Bowie in the Labyrinth) pictures will be posted after on Facebook and on here.

Funny story. so i work with old people. they are always confused, sleepy. and forget everything. the other day i was upstairs at work right by the elevator. one of the residents was trying to go downstairs but forgot what button to push. i asked if she was gong down, she said yes and i pushed the button for the first floor. she thanked me and i waved good bye as the door shut. right after the door closed i ran down stairs and stood right in front of the door before it opened. when it opened i looked at her and said, "you never went down??" she looked at me confused and puzzled and realized that maybe she didn't go down. i started to laugh and then told her i was just kidding. hesitant she got off the elevator. i really shouldn't mess with people that old. karma is going to catch up with me.

Good Morning

There is nothing like waking old people up in the morning. i think its much like a child waking up on Christmas morning. here are my reasons.

1. old people don't know what day it is, so really i could tell them its Christmas.
2. their heart is racing with excitement, from me scaring them by saying GOOD MORNING!!
3. any day is better than being dead.
4. they wake up super early because they don't want to miss breakfast.
5. have you ever been so excited that you messed your pants too?

I've also found out the top ways to scare an old person (not on purpose).

1. whistle.
2. pass them while they are walking.
3. sneeze really loud.
4. act like the handicap doors wont open by pushing the buttons
5. tell them the kitchen ran out of diet Coke.

PUPPY!

recently Jon (my roommate) and I decided that we wanted to get a puppy. we talked about all the necessary requirements for having a dog.

1. wicked cool name.
2. has to be a boy (no girls can sleep over).
3. small so it doesn't eat us.
4. chick magnet.
5. a dog that listens (not only to our every command but the mans best friend kind of thing).

we went and looked at some puppies, they were cute but i think the stench of the house was a little overwhelming that it drove us away. we searched the rest of KSL for other dogs and came upon some beagle puppies. i've always like beagles maybe its because it sounds so much like Bangles my once upon a time favorite football team because they suck, and the Bangles reminded me of Tony the Tiger, and i love cereal so there you have it... i like beagles.

we called a reserved one, we wont be able to pick it up until the 13th of Feburary, so it gives us time to puppy proof our house.

New Favorite

the other day i had some time to waste and found myself reading the news on KSL and on the Deseret News web site. this is where i discovered my new favorite thing. have you ever read the comments that people attach to the end of the articles? i read an article about a boy who earned every merit badge, all 121 of them. now you would think that is would be something happy, and praise worthy oh no..... on the contrary. people began to rip this 16 year old boy apart. you would think that this was the boy that took his gun into a Carly's Jr, the gun went off as he was trying to relieve himself in the bathroom. (i could go for a #4 doubble western with a DP right now).

Just this morning i decided to see what the news had to offer and there was a story about someone being shot outside of a Panda Express resturant. my favorite comment was "I almost shot someone at Panda after they got the last of the Beijing Beef. I was so pissed." nothing gets better than the things people say. maybe that's why Davy and I love to people watch and listen to what people say at school. im sure i say my share of dumb things. but then again im not one to judge myself.
